Post 2075 celebrated its first Trunk of Treat event for kids in the community on Halloween night October 31. Nearly 200 children coursed through the various candy and activity stations in the post’s parking lot. Inside the tank Halloween movies were shown and Post members served up tasty burgers and hot dogs.
"This event was a way to provide a fun and safe environment for children and at the same time let the local community know that VFW Post 2075 is a partner and resource for everyone in the City of Hawthorne," said Post Commander Tim Ibarra.
Thank you to the
Hawthorne Police Department and all the members of the Post, Auxiliary and Hawthorne Navy JROTC cadets for
making this such a successful event.
